How do I enter my upcoming flights?
Just enter the flight number and date, and flight agenda will fill in the rest of the details. You can search for any scheduled flight between today and one year in the future.
How can I share my travel plans with others?
Flight agenda creates an iCalendar with your flight details. You can either share the address of this calendar, or the calendar file itself. When sharing the calendar address, your contacts can use to subscribe your calendar and receive automatic updates. If you share the file itself, they will only see the flights that are in the calendar now.
Which applications can I use to subscribe to the iCalendar file?
Wikipedia has a list of applications compatible with iCalendar files. Additionally, online calendar sharing services like Google Calendar and Backpack can be used for subscribing to flight agenda calendars. At our office, we use iCal (built into Mac OS X), but Outlook 2007 should work as well.
How is my privacy protected?
Flight agenda never shares your details with others, but if you have shared a calendar, it is accessible by anyone who knows the address. If you want to keep your travel plans private, you should be careful about only sharing the address with people you trust. If you want to share your calendar by downloading it and sharing the calendar file, it is a good idea to rename it if you don't want the recipient to guess the calendar's original address at flightagenda.com.
Why am I seeing strange flight times in the iCalendar file?
To maximize compatibility, flight agenda stores the departure and end times in UTC (Coordinated Universal Time). Most calendaring applications will then automatically convert these times into the current local time, so if your calendar is set to the time zone of your departure airport, the departure time should show correctly. Additionally, flight agenda stores the local departure and arrival times in the description field of the calendar entry.
How accurate are the flight details provided by flight agenda?
The same data is used by airlines and airports, so it represents the best public knowledge about the flight you are entering the moment you are entering it. However, flight agenda does not necessarily update the status of your flight, so you should still rely on the operating airline for news about flight cancellations and changes.
Which browsers are supported?
Flight agenda should work with most modern desktop browsers. Currently the experience is not optimized for, or guaranteed to work with, many mobile browsers. We are working on a version better suited for on-the-road use.
